Protecting the Rights of Consumers For Over 25 Years

We have filed a lawsuit against Dorothy Brown, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County, alleging the imposition of fees for filing cases under the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act, 750 ILCS 22/101 et seq. According to the statute, a person seeking support under this law is not to be charged a filing fee. Private parties seeking support are charged a fee.
