Have Debt Collectors violated my rights under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act?

Debt buyers are also covered. The debtors' rights lawyers of Edelman, Combs, Latturner & Goodwin, LLC, represent consumers whose rights have been violated by debt collectors. Has my landlord violated my rights?

There are strict regulations of landlords under Illinois state law and City of Chicago ordinances. Landlords must maintain the premise, return your security deposit, pay interest on security deposits, and provide various notices. If your rights may have been violated, call.

Wage Claims:  Federal and state laws require payment of overtime (one and one-half times hourly wages) to all non-exempt employees. Many employers fail to comply, either by not recording and paying the overtime, requiring employees to work "off the clock", or by misclassifying non-exempt employees as exempt management or independent contractors. Victims are entitled to recover damages in the event of a wilful violation, single damages otherwise.
